Mission Statement

The North American Bio Recovery Technicians Alliance is committed to creating value for those who are in the Bio-hazardous medical waste decontamination and restoration industry, insurance companies and victims of unfortunate despair by providing the most current technical training and business support for its members in the bio-recovery decontamination and restoration industry.

Values

The NABRTA places its values in:

  • Due to unfortunate incidents, the victims have suffered a personal loss and deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, compassion and understanding. Price gouging is totally unacceptable.
  • Fairness and openness in all business dealings.
  • Being responsive to the evolving needs of its members.
  • Providing Technical & Management expertise to its members and non members alike.

Code Of Ethics

As a member of the North American Bio Recovery Technicians Alliance, we are committed to operating by this code of ethics.

  • Members shall carry out business according to the laws of the jurisdiction in which they are located.
  • Members shall use basic courtesy and professionalism in dealing with each other and with the general public.
  • Members shall be responsible for accurately describing, estimating, invoicing and billing all materials they offer for services.
  • Members shall make every possible reasonable effort to resolve any type of dispute with a client..
  • Members shall state accurately and clearly terms and conditions of services which will be provided in a manner that can be easily understood by the general public. Terms and conditions of services may be modified with the consent of the authorizing surviving victim or insurance adjuster.
  • Members shall respond to incidents in a reasonable timely manner.
  • Members may not add any extra charges (padding the invoice) to assist the insured in recovering the out of pocket deductible rate.
  • Unresolved disputes among members shall be brought to the Arbitration Committee. Members agree to abide by the decision of the Committee whatever the outcome may be.
  • Treating surviving victims who have suffered personal loss with dignity, respect, compassion and  understanding.
  • Being honest and forthright in all dealings with surviving victims, insurance companies, their agents, adjusters, representatives, brother/sister bio-recovery specialists, suppliers and the general public.
  • Consistently demonstrating a professional standard of excellence in our bio recovery services industry.
  • Being a responsible industry professional.
 

Violation of this Code of Ethics may be grounds for censure, suspension, or expulsion.
